Times Square is probably one of my favorite areas in New York City. One of my fondest memories of living in New York was experiencing the first snowfall of the winter two years ago, at 2am, on 7th avenue and 42nd street. The snowflakes glowed iridescent against the backdrop of the flashing advertisements; it was quite possibly magical. Within Times Square, I have a huge preference for 7th avenue over Broadway. Perhaps because of the way the avenue turns, but also perhaps because of Ruby Foo’s, a fun, chic, delicious Asian Fusion restaurant that has some of the most interesting Sushi in the city. (The roll with Papaya is quite tantalizing!) Furthermore 7th avenue is easier to maneuver by foot, and tends to be somewhat less crowded than its twin pathway.
