Mall Dr West, Waterfront

Contrary to some of the other reviewers here, I'm not sure if I would want to live here. It is a nice clean place. That I'll grant. However, it has an almost antiseptic air to it. Definitely no 'life' or 'character' in this street.

The reason is clear once you realize that the street is right besides an ENORMOUS windowless hanger housing the various parts Newport mall. Your usual street scene will be delivery trucks on the weekdays and throngs of shoppers on the weekend.

I mean I grew up in downtown Jersey City and Mall Dr W will be a great place anytime to walk around or do some shopping. It is very close to Newport Center Mall and local hotels in the area. It is also located in one of the safest and cleanist places in Jersey City. It is not that far from all the new places that are being built in Jersey City like the new Trump Plaza. But if you want to have a good place to shop go to Mall Dr W

Definitely one of the best places to go in Jersey City, if not the best. All your shopping needs can be met here--if not at Newport Centre Mall, then you have a ShopRite, BJ's Warehouse, Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and other stores nearby. My high school was located next to the mall and me and my classmates would frequently go to the mall after school for a snack or to go shopping. It's also a pretty nice place to hang out, especially since it is located next to the marina, which can be a pretty nice place to relax when the weather is just right and you're with good company.

There is nothing better to do on a rainy day on vacation than go to the mall. We found the Newport Centre Mall along Mall Dr. This was in a nice, clean part of downtown. The mall had all sorts of nice places to eat and stores to shop at.
