"Short drive alongside a long pier"

Lakeside Drive in Oakland, CA is a rather brief highway ride that finishes what Harrison Street/Oakland Avenue started together up north and ends as it turns onto 14th Street. Lakeside Drive overlooks Lake Merritt and Lakeside Park across the water. The nice and breezy but short drive makes for a pleasant experience that wouldn't be the same without the addition of Lake Merritt.
