"Good to cut through the city, horrible to live on"
I used to live here for about two years and it's not a great place to live. Pros? It's easily accesible and whenever someone needed to come to my house or drop me off, it was very easy to give directions since everyone is so well-acquainted with the street. It provides a fast path through the city so you can get from Greenville to Downtown in just fifteen minutes. Also, there are many, many stores and restaurants that you can get to from JFK that are either right on the street or nearby. However, these reasons are only good enough to make it a good place to visit. It is a horrible place to live--it's constantly noisy (even at night), there is a pretty high risk of crime, and the traffic is ridiculous. It is also one of the more difficult streets to cross at certain intersections. But of course, this is all expected of a large and insanely busy street. Fortunately, because it's a major street, it's pretty well-lit at night.
