Industrial Rd, San Carlos

Industrial Rd. is one of the most aptly-named streets I have seen. It is just that - an industrial street lined with shopping malls and plazas, right along the freeway. While it is not the most pleasant, scenic shopping experience you will ever have, it does offer some standard favorites, including Best Buy and one of two REIs on this stretch of the 101. The proximity to this interstate makes the area both highly visible and highly trafficked.

The most annoying aspect of the whole area is the lack of accessibility, despite being right off the 101. If you miss a turn to your store (or even if you are heading up 101 north and decide to pull off here), you may have set yourself up for an extra half-mile of driving. The medians are looong, which makes it difficult to access anything that is on the East Side of the road if you are driving south.

But if you just happen to need a flat screen TV, a new pair of hiking boots, or just about any other consumer product on the market, then this is your choice.
