American St, San Carlos

I often wonder who named this street American street and why they named this street that particular name. I always thought a street with such a name should really embodiment the true American spirit. American Street in Redwood City, California does anything but. It is a small street but busy little street. The street is home to all sorts of blue collar places like Tool and Dye shops to factories. It should have been called Blue Collar Street. A lot of the companies except for the factories have limited parking so you will see plenty of cars parked on the side of the street bumper to bumper. If you take American Street all the way down it eventually becomes a dead end which is pretty much a landing zone for big crates that are on the big of semis.
