"A lower-key alternative to University Avenue"
This is a great place to drive/park when heading into downtown Palo Alto to avoid the traffic. While University Avenue is the main drag, Hamilton Avenue should not be overlooked. Small eat-in joints are common, and high-end restaurants, like Reposado, are available as well. Outdoor seating is abundant at many of these places. And Yoga Source offers a good array of yoga classes, including a new student special of $40 for 30 days.
Like much of downtown Palo Alto, parking is not always easy. While it is free, many places mandate a two-hour limit that is enforced. However, Hamilton Avenue is slightly easier to access than University given that it is off the main drag.
