"Standard Palo Alto Street"
To be honest, I really don't have a strong opinion on this street, one way or the other. Traffic is a little dicey, like much of Palo Alto, but it is a little bit more mellow than the neighboring El Camino Real. There's some great shopping, especially around the downtown Palo Alto area (and the North Face store just past downtown definitely helps!) Eventually, the street joins up with El Camino.
There is one very bizarre spot near the transit station, right by University Avenue. If you are not careful, you will end up stuck at the Caltrain. Be sure to follow the signs, and take the SECOND right to University Avenue if you are going there.
