"Nice place for a scenic walk"
There’s not a whole lot to see and do here, so it’s not really ideal for tourists (unless you are planning on walking over to Fifth Avenue or into the Park). It is a nice place for residents, though – the streets stay pretty clean, and pretty quiet as well. Just like every street in the neighborhood, it offers a few cafes of the cookie cutter sort.
"Typical Upper East Side Street"
It's not a crowded or noisy street. It’s definitely an upscale residential area. There is a small college located between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave. Marymount Manhattan College is such a small college it’s barely noticeable if it wasn’t for the students that smoke their cigarettes outside. Also on the same side of the street there is a Grace’s Marketplace which, on garbage days leaves the biggest and smelliest pile of garbage I’ve ever seen. So a good tip would be just to walk on the opposite side of the street.
