I've lived in Cincinnati for more years than I can remember. I recall a pretty bad flood in Madisonville and that surrounding areas when I was a little girl. Our family had to go to the attic to escape the water that filled the first floor of our house. (Of course that was when there was a creek along the path that is now Red Bank Expressway) Okay, I'm old.
In recent years, I've seen the river flood Eastern Ave./Riverside Dr., just a few years ago, in fact. That doesn't happen too often. When the rain is heavy enough though, the California area, including Riverbend, River Downs and Coney Island gets a little waterlogged.
