I love Java Detour on California Ave. It's a drive thru coffee hut right near Del Taco off of the 58 and 99 freeways. The Bakersfield Plaza is right on California Ave. You can get to Payless, Mervyns and drive all the way down it to the Stockdale Village for shopping as well.

Lee Street in Oakland California is a street of apartment buildings, and really does not lend itself to a very good vibe. But the trees are nice, and that makes the place more than bearable. It’s near to two hosipitals, and a slew of grocery stores, as well as Snow and Lakeside park.
