"Busy street that is full of commuters "

Bush Street is actually quite a busy street with a good amount of noise coming from the zooming cars as they heard towards the Downtown area on this one-way street. While going down this hilly street you will pass by business, stores, cafes, restaurants, corner stores, churches, schools, and such. Bush Street will definitely get more traffic packed as you head closer to Market Street. Bush Street’s road isn’t that smooth and solid, there are actually a good amount of potholes and such. The street isn’t all that clean other, once you pass Van Ness Avenue. I wouldn’t really suggest finding a long term home here, rather a temporary one, maybe for college students who are studying at a school nearby.

"Busy one way street"

I used to live on Bush St. right by the Fillmore St. intersection. It does get busy during peak times, but it is a great way to shoot downtown to the financial district. It is mostly residential and is on the lower cusp of Pacific Heights neighborhood getting closer to Japan town.

"It was very noisy for me but great for other things"

I lived on Bush Street in San Francisco, CA. It was very loud, I am sure the houses down from me were probably better with it being less noisy for them. I was very close to everything! Japantown was not too far, there is a beautiful park nearby that made it nice to go out to. There are plenty of places to go out to eat. You can get a great workout just by walking the hilly streets! It was ok for me to live here.

"Interesting neighborhood street"

Not a main street but was closed for mass demonstrations during the beginning of the Iraq war. A good boutique hotel on this street is the Orchard. It was one of the first hotels in San Francisco to have free internet access. Bush Street has historic cable car access at Powell. Many of the stop signs on this street had stickers that said “Bush” so the sign read “Stop Bush.”

"Quiet residential neighborhood on hills"

Bush Street between Fillmore Street and Van Ness Avenue is a nice, calm residential neighborhood with very nice houses. It does get a little busy during rush hour though. It is only a short walk from Japantown where there is great Asian food and Fillmore Street where there are cute boutiques and restaurants. It is also close to many bus lines and downtown is also only a twenty minute walk or ten minute drive. There is also La Fayette Park about two blocks away which is nice to take the kids during the day. The restaurant Quince is also on the corner which is an expensive but delicious place to do for a romantic dinner after the kids are asleep. This street is also my favorite place to trick-of-treat on Halloween when I was little so it’s a great place for families. However, it is a little hilly.
