Berry St, Williamsburg

Berry Street is definitely in the thick of hipstertown. It's not as bad as Bedford for punk kids in dirty clothes; but, it's definitely up there in regards to streets that actual adults may want to avoid on nights and weekends. But, because it's in an area that is so high in hipster quotient, there are really great restaurants and bars on the street. Hotel Delmano is one of the best places in Willy. It is way too hip for its own good but it's beautiful. The decor is lovely and old timey, the lighting is dim and the staff is a bunch of attractive rockabilly kids. The drinks are outstanding and the bites are for the more elevated palate (pate, for example).
Teddy's Bar and Grill has my favorite salad in New York. Their cobb is giant, delicious and really bad for you. This is kind of like a sports pub that doesn't exactly play sports but I like the place an awful lot. And, it has the best bar food in town.
The Levee is a pretty awesome dive bar; but, it's seriously divey. It used to be called Cokey's and I'm pretty sure that all the cokeheads who used to hang out there just carried over to Levee.
But, there free cheese poofs and board games and the youngster hipster crowd has mostly taken over.
There are some interesting home and clothing vintage shops up and down the street too. But, the street is largely residential (i.e. a lot of giant Condo buildings that aren't selling) so it can be a little dangerous late at night on a weekday.

Like most streets in Williamsburg, this one has just as many bars and restaurants as the rest. The nightlife scene here is at it every single night – so don’t move in unless you’re planning on partying, or at least listening to other people partying all the time. Highlights include Teddy’s Bar and Grill – which as been around for ages, even before the neighborhood was full of rich kids.

Here, you should try NAR Bar (corner of Metropolitan and Berry) for some great Tapas and other great eats. I think that this is a good place for people looking to have a good time, and an easily accessible neighborhood. Williamsburg is one of the trendiest sections of the city and with plenty of metro stops nearby, it won't be too hard for you to find your way around! The street itself has some good housing options and houses available for rooms ranging from 700-1200, a steal in NYC. Good place to look for fun or food!
