Bayview Heights is right by Candlestick Park--what used to be the until this past season the 49ers football stadium. The area is also right by Hunter's Point which has been long considered a high crime area. Bayview Heights is not considered as bad as that, but it is still an area that a lot of people avoid.
It does have good views of the bay from spots though.
