Bayview and Hunter's Point along with the Tenderloin have long been known as the most dangerous neighborhoods in San Francisco, with far higher murder rates than other areas of the city. Bayview Heights, though not as dangerous as the lowlands its associated with, is still not what I would consider a safe neighborhood.
