Conveniently Located Street

Ocean Avenue runs from around the Sunset District (Junipero Serra) all the way to Mission Street. It is conveniently located and easily accessible. Along Ocean Avenue there is access to freeway 280. There are also many schools located near or along Ocean Avenue such as Lowell High School, Aptos M...

kind of meh really

There really isn't much here. I mean there's gas stations and convenience stores and whatnot with the usual generic trappings of suburbia, but that's about it. There's nothing particularly special about it apart from the deceptive name. Driving past I was certain it would take me to the Pacific,...

Not the Hottest Street Around

I visit Ocean Avenue regularly, but I don't really enjoy the vibe. The only reason I go there is because there are a few places, such as car repair garages and drug stores, that I like on the street, but if I didn't have to go, I wouldn't. It's not my kind of place. It's kind of scuzzy - a kid was s...

Busy street with muni train connections and lots of stores!

Ocean Avenue begins on the west end of 19th Avenue and runs all the way into Mission Street. Despite its name, Ocean Avenue does not connect with the Pacific Ocean. The “M” Muni train crosses Ocean Avenue at 19th Avenue. However, Ocean Avenue is most famous for its “K” train that starts at Junipero...

2 people found this review helpful.
0 people found this review not helpful.

Close to City College

This street close to public transportation, groceries, restaurants, gas station and City College, you can walk to the Balboa Bart Station, or even take the MUNI M line to downtown San Francisco. The street is pretty clean and well maintained, I used to live in this neighborhood for 4 years. Stop si...
