"I would not live here, except...."
I would not live here, except for the fact that the house we are renting is far better than our other choices in Prince George's County. Not to say that it is good. We have carpenter ant damage all through the house (they are currently tearing apart the deck).
Parking in general is okay. Neighbors mostly keep to themselves. Occasionally there are some large, loud parties. That doesn't bother us as much because it is infrequent and it lets us host our own without fearing complaints.
Safety wise this neighborhood is like many others around it. There have been cars stolen and houses broken into. We do have a neighborhood watch that no one has ever come to us about, but a couple of times a month we see a neighborhood watch car with flashing lights come around. Since we've lived here our roommate's car was vandalized by neighborhood kids. Someone threw a toilet seat cover through the windshield.
The worst part here is the schools. If I was raising kids here I would definetly send them to private schools!!! No matter what the costs!!!! Our nearest high school, had an incident last year where a student almost beat a teacher to death. In my job I work with kids in the community, and some of their stories defy belief.
Please if you can afford to do something else! DO IT. Don't live here.
