"ok neighborhood near Cambridge"
Waverly Street is a little more affordable than some other areas of Boston. It is safe, but does not have the quaint, historic feel of the more affluent neighborhoods. The pros are that the streets are wider and parking is better here, and homes actually have some yard to them. Waverly St. is conveniently located to the Western Ave. bus line, and is fairly close to the Harvard football stadium and several parks, so there is recreation available. There are several casual delis and retail shops but nothing very upscale.
