"Premier Area"

Washington Street runs through the historic Greenwich Village. It is truly a premier area. Much of the street is characterized by cobblestones and ivy covered facades. There are a number of landmark buildings in the area. The neighborhood houses numerous galleries, romantic cafes, delicious restaurants and some awesome boutiques for great shopping.

"Its more than just a historical name"

If you are a tourist in America, the origins and history of the name of Washington Street may not be of interest to you but you will be delighted to hear is that there are a number of great bars. Its not as if New York is short of places to grab a drink but this street has a number of fantastic and charming little bars that you can easily spend a few nights here sampling the local venues.

"On Washington Street"

If you have watched Sergio Leone’s Once Upon a Time in America, then the image of Washington Street should immediately pop out at you. It is a Belgian block-paved street in DUMBO, surrounded by red brick buildings, with a magnificent view of the Manhattan Bridge. A walk toward the waterfront reveals one of the most beautiful views of Manhattan. This street is definitely worth a visit.

In general Dumbo is a great neighborhood where to live. It is perfect for families.

"A nice place to visit"

This neighborhood was once sited to be the next Soho. It never quite made it there, but it does have many terrific attractions. The first one mainly being the view. Take a walk from Washington Street to the water and you will see a fantastic view of Manhattan. This area is under the Manahttan Bridge, so it is a very quick and easy trip to Manhattan.
