"Just a residential offshoot"
A quiet little cul-de-sac full of hardworking families is how one would describe Ryan Way. It's adjacent to some larger thoroughfares, so one can get to shopping and amenities really easily. San Bruno BART is quite near, although perhaps not close enough to walk to, but there are bus stops nearby.

"Street from a bygone era"
Streets like Victory Avenue are from a bygone era. You just don't find streets that are dedicated to the blue collar workers anymore at least not around the South San Francisco area. Most people only know this street for two reasons. One as a shortcut or two because they work at one of the plants on the street. If you are bar hopping and decide to drive home instead of taking a cab, Victory Avenue can be an easy escape route if it is in your path because cops rarely patrol this area and nothing goes on after dark on this street except for the certain plants that are open 24 hours. During the daytime you can expect to get behind semis that are trying to maneuver their way into a small parking lot.
