"Pretty close to small town heaven"

Our neighborhood is close knit and quiet yet only two blocks from the downtown district. Shopping is close. The schools are great. There is a recycling program. There is next to no crime and the area feels safe. Lots of children are around so its a great place for families. The houses are so very well kept and its just pleasant to be here. The neighborhood is quiet at night and the streets are well lit. I couldn't ask for more!

"Rural isn't bad!"

This is a well paved road with feels really country, but you are 5 minutes from downtown Mansfield. The road is a drving challenge and the houses are spaced pretty far apart. People don't know each other very well unless they have a reason to. There is no one housing style so there is diverse architecture. Its kinda a neat little stretch to be so close to the downtown area.

"Nice to visit"

but please don't make me live there. If you want to party this is a great little road. THere is always a party going on close to the university. The poor shops on second street have been forgotten and the building are needing condemned. I wouldn't buy a house anywhere near there because it will get eaten by the university. On a positive note is that it is close to the downtown and there are a few places to eat!

"Friendly, quiet and safe"

This area is like a suburb in the country. There are fields around this little community and its strange. Though there are more developments popping up all the time in this area, these little ranch houses are always well kept and very kid-friendly. The people know each other and take pride in their homes. It is in an area that is expanding so if you are looking for a place to buy and want something out these would be perfect!

"Am I Lost?"

Twisted roads and no cellphone service! The power goes out frequently. Everyone does know everyone, if you are looking for that type of thing this area would be keen. The road has a number of blind curves and flooding will take the road out in places. Winter storms can take out the power. But if you are looking for rustic beauty and friendly people this place will do nicely

"safe and quiet"

This is the area where Longacre school is located in. We were shopping for houses and I was struck by how quiet this area is. The houses are so neat and clean and the neighborhood is kinda close knit. This is an excellent area to raise children in. Truly, I think the area deserves its ranking of one of the top areas to raise children in! Everything is really green and again very quiet.

"Big beautiful houses"

This little stretch is lined with beautiful houses. The yards here are landscaped and people really take a lot of time and care with their homes. Crime is next to nothing and there are multiple neighborhood associations to be involved with. Everyone knows everyone so it is really really safe. Not a lot of young children so maybe not a place for people with children.

"Can you say Quiet!"

Lovely little house all in a row, many of them start to look alike but the area is quiet and fairly safe. Not a lot happens here. The street is really close to the hospitals and not to far from the parks so its not a bad little area. Still, its very small town and if that is what you are looking for you are looking at the right place.

"Wow the neighborhood is going down hill"

This used to be a great little neighborhood to live in however, in the last few years more trouble has hit this little stretch than anyone deserves to endure. There have been multiple drug busts and even a few arsons. Buying a house on this stretch might seem like a bargain to the youthful, but you won't get your money out of it. The older people who took pride in their homes are gone now and the neighborhood isn't nearly as friendly or safe as it was!

"Stepping back in time!"

Strangely close to the town center the historic area of this street is picturesque almost to a fault. Many of the older homes may not appeal to a younger sect of buyers but none the less these gems are beautiful and most have been restored. There are multiple parks in the area and also shopping close. The area has some of the best schools around and was even voted in the top 100 cities to live in. Not a bad place to live all in all!

"Wonderful area for children!"

This is a wonderful neighborhood to raise kids. Farmington has some of the best schools in Michigan and this neighborhood actually has the school in it. The houses start to look the same but the people are really friendly and there are lots of kids to play with if you are looking for other people with children. Overall its a pretty safe area.

"Don't come here if you want quiet!"

If you like curry, diversity and children this is a great place to live! There is a very high Indian population that leads to serious culture shock if you aren't looking for that kind of cultural diversity. It was fun living here though because despite the fact that my hindi sucks every one was super friendly! Though the walls in my apartment were super super thin, most of the time my time there was good. Lots of places to play with parks and gyms close. Not a bad value.

"Welcome to Quietsville!"

The stretch of Back Road lives up to its name it IS a back road. Though pretty close to the highway and a half an hour from anything does have its merits. Its quiet and the yards are huge. The neighbors are friendly if you ever see one. There is virtually NO shopping unless you want to drive 15 - 20 minutes. If you are looking for quiet though THIS is the place.

"Welcome to the best part of Detroit"

I have the great joy of attending a church and ballgames in the same stretch of land. Situated right down town and open, Adams street next to the park is amazing. The area is very different from the old stadium area. But right here in this little stretch you can see a football game, a baseball game and a show. Not a bad stretch of real estate!

"Diversity and Desparity"

In order to get to work and church every day, I would try to avoid the freeways and the crazy traffic and would drive up Grand River. The stretch that starts in Farmington and runs to the casinos in the downtown area. Its so different. There are areas where there are homeless people that push their carts along sidewalks and by abandoned buildings. Then, a little further down the road you find a building that is brand new and cost millions to build. Its just diverse and maybe not in a good way.

"That Revival Feeling"

The area of Watson Street that I know something about is the historic Brush Park area. We had a condo in one of the revitalized building downtown. This was great! You could walk to a show or a ballgame. There was a very vital night life and lots going on! We did have someone break a window out of the car but that could have happened about anywhere.

"Small Town Living"

This has to be one of the most quiet neighborhoods in the state of Ohio! There were kids and families there. The area is almost suburban-picturesque. It is outside of Mansfield and has great schools. Not a lot of shopping but that is getting better with new places going in. I hope that the renovations don't destroy the quiet though. This was a great place to raise a family.

"Scared of THAT!"

I worked on Greenfield and it was really rough. There were people that were hanging out under the overpass. The lighting was poor at best and the street was torn up so bad I trashed three new tires while I worked there. Now there are areas on west side that are perfectly nice but this place was no place to be after dark.
