"3 words: I'm so Hood."
Tiebout is not in a great neighborhood by any sense of the word. It's a couple blocks east of the Concourse between 183rd & 184th. It's close the subway and the bus routes on the Concourse, but there's way too many people just randomly standing around looking quite suspicious. It's a few blocks off Fordham Rd which is both a positive and a negative. Positive because it's a big shopping area for clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. Negative because of the crowding and the noise and big shopping districts always attract people who are up to no good. Not a good area to come home to late at night and I absolutely would not want to raise any kids around here. I used to visit a friend who lived on Tiebout every now and then, but you always have to watch your back. If neighbors who blast their music at all hours and guys hanging on your corner or in your building lobby is something that doesn't bother you, then this is your place.
