"Quiet, pleasant family oriented neighborhood"
I live on S. Maple Dr. which is located in the heart of Beverly Hills. It's a quiet street with condos on one end and single-family homes on the other. A blue ribbon public school is located one block away. And then there is the shopping - Rodeo Drive is a short walk away. If you are into the more trendy stuff Beverly Drive is a little closer. Restaurants of all kinds - from American cuisine to Chinese - are also just a short walk. Robertson Blvd. is another trendy shopping and eating area. It is about a 7 block walk, but well worth it.
The area is rich in Jewish culture. Temple is within walking distance.
There is a hospital located on Wilshire Blvd that is known internationally. If you have kids, there a numerous parks with swings and slides. It's also a great neighborhood for walking. I see lots of strollers and dogs out daily getting their exercise.
