Living in SOMA is like living at the cultural heart of San Francisco. SOMA is where you will find the Museum of Modern Art, the Asian Art Museum, the Cartoon Museum, the Contemporary Jewish Museum and the Museum of the African Diaspora--just to name the major ones. You also have a ton of bars and dance clubs here, like Mr. Smith's, WISH, Monarch, Raven Bar, Lava Bar and Azucar Lounge. And you have restaurants: Prospect, Radius, Luce, Fringale and Water Bar to just name a few. Basically this is your playground if you happen to be rolling in the green. If not, then you will just have to visit once a year to see how the other one half of one percent lives.
