"Up and coming city"

Portsmouth or "P-town" as it is called by locals is shaping out to be a great up and coming city. Many who lived in Portsmouth for quiet a while know that Portsmouth has been refer ed as one of the poorer cities in Hampton Roads. But when you drive around the city you see that there is so much offered. There are many attractions, concert venues and museums.

" a great place to visit"

Downtown Portsmouth, Va is a great place to visit. There are many museums within walking distance or by Ferryboat ride to Norfolk, Va. The People are very friendly and the streets are kept clean and tidy. There are many eating places and local taverns within walking distance of all the museums. High Street has been known as the center of town since the 1700's, and there are many old churches also. There are museums of every taste and interest. From the Chidren's museum to the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame to the Lightship Museum and the Norfolk Naval Shipyard museum there is something for everyone here.
