Historic Street that lost the appeal

While the area has a rich history and once house historic homes and the elite of the city it is largely industrialized and surrounded by some troubled areas. The Hudson River Museum is a worthy stop and the view can not be beat. It is conveniently located and public transportation is not a problem, but it's far from my favorite stop.

Home of the Hudson River Museum

Warburton ave is a beautiful quaint street. Mostly a residential area warburton meets with philles road and runs along side Trevor Park. This is a quiet area mostly of families. As you get down warburton you will find however that it is the home of the Hudson River Museum, which is of course a great attraction for the city of Yonkers.

Warburton Avenue in Yonkers, New York

Though the view and drive along Warburton Avenue is mainly industrial buildings, a stop at the Hudson River Museum at 511 Warburton Avenue will definitely show you the beauty and history of the river. The museum is housed in a restored Glenview Mansion and features plenty of art exhibits and Westchester's only public planetarium. The museum has a wealth of activities for the art, history and science fans and holds lectures, family art workshops, and children's programs, if you are visiting with the kids. My advice is to stop by the museum shop for some memorabilia and grab lunch at the cafe, which offers the panoramic view of the Hudson RIver you were looking for on your drive up Warburton.
