NYC is Haunted

Did you know there are ghost here in NYC. Actually there are a lot of them. In reality, there are a number of ghost tours in the city. If you have nothing much to do, why not go and take a ghost tour. You may just be frightened out of your wits. One ghost tour is the Peter Stuyvesant and His Ghostly Friends. This tour is located in the East Village. When you get there you will have the chance to search for Peter Stuyvesant's ghostly friends including Edgar Allan Poe and August Belmont. You can even take a subway ride. The tour takes about 90 minutes.

The tour starts at the lion sculpture in front of St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery at the northwest corner of Second Avenue and Tenth St.

To learn more about this and other tours, go to this web page: http://www.ghostsofny.com/tours.html

Make sure to check them out during Halloween.

This is what I'm talking about! I mentioned the Ghosts of the W Village tour in another thread a few days ago; it was my favorite thing I've done since living here! I love it because you get a real feel for history and creeped out at the same time.

There are a number of cemeteries in New York I feel like they should have a tour of as well. I think it would be really cool to take a tour of them at twilight. The Greenwood cemetery has Bill the Butcher in it: how cool is that?

@JenMac Actually had to look up who that was, but it seems interesting enough...

Daniel Day Lewis played him in Gangs of New York. Really interesting US / NY historical figure.

Anyone ever been to any of the NYC cemeteries? I always wanted to check some of them out; I love old school grave markers, and I don't even care how creepy that is.

The Trinity Cemetary is really cool. It has all of these beautiful mausoleums and tombs; and, it houses people like John Jacob Astor.

I am thinking something like this might be better saved for springtime, right? I mean, do cemeteries get green here?

Probably better to do it in the spring / summer. But, the snow and dead trees do kind of add to the maudlin effect of a cemetery tour.

I've been to one of the cemeteries. I am psychic where I feel the presence of ghosts. I can even see them, if they wish to show themselves to me. When I went to one of the cemeteries, I saw a number of ghosts hanging around together. It was like they were holding a meeting. I didn't bother them. I just kept on going past the place.

Yep. I used to work at parties as a psychic. I would have visions and when told them, they later came true. I was told by another psychic that I have the third eye, which not too many men have.
