“Hoboken is a bit less busy than what's across the river - but still busy.” (visited the area)

I have visited Washington Street many times. It's primarily composed of small shops and restaurants and is a great place to visit - most things in Hoboken are a bit toned down than what's across the river. It's safe, usually pretty crowded, and I highly recommend it. If you want a bite to eat and maybe go to a bar at night - it's all on Washington Street.
