those TVs in taxis...

...love 'em or hate 'em? Personally, I can't stand them. Granted, it's convenient to be able to pay for a cab via credit card - if far too tempting on those occasions where I'm out of cash and common sense and budget would have me take the subway - but that said the noise and insipid programming are IMO obnoxious. Of course, I can always mute/turn it off, but there's always that moment of frustration when the noise starts up before I can turn it off...

The worst is the commercials for dreadful late night/reality TV you wouldn't watch if they paid you! And sorry for double posting - I'll make sure to double-check in the future! I just got carried away after the thread on taxi-tipping.
