Rooftop Entertainment

I was just wondering about something. There are some restaurants and bars that offer places to sit on the roof. They also have entertainment that is situated on the rooftop.

I haven't been on top of the roof of a bar or restaurant yet, but I was wondering if anyone else has.

If so, what has been your experience. If you haven't but you know someone who has, what has their experience been like.

Is it safe to be on the roof?

It depends on the roof, I suppose, @hhusted! Personally, I love the views/atmosphere of rooftop dining

There's a bar/restaurant called Toxic and it is at the corner of 29th St and 3rd Avenue, I believe, and they have a roof area where people can go. The only thing that concerns me is if a fire broke out, and I couldn't get back into the restaurant, how would I get away from the fire or the building. Would I have to wait till the fire trucks got there. If these restaurants provide rooftop entertainment, they should provide access to the street below, even if it is a ladder.

That's a good point, @hhusted. Have you ever been to Toxic? Is it nice? The name certainly isn't inviting, I must say, but it could be fabulous!
