Group Ride Pilot Program Gets a Spin

Mayor Michael Bloomberg was joined by Taxi and Limousine Commission officials Tuesday to announce a new group-ride van service for commuters affected by MTA bus cuts.

I really don't know how effective this program will be. It is hard to say. Take a look and read the story.

What a neat idea! A sort of glorified carpool. Let's see how it ends up working out before judging, though

I agree. It could make things easier for many to get around. But if it is limited to only so many travelers, what good would that do for the many travelers who need it but can't get it. Time will tell how affective it will be.
