Mirror Lake is a great place to walk around, rollerblade, bike, etc.--an oasis right next to downtown St. Pete. The Lyceum, Shuffleboard and Lawn Bowling and other civic amenities front the lake. Rumor has it that a grant has been procured to improve and broaden lake access and the path around it. Friendly people there (plus an occasional stray down and out-er). Gay friendly area, too.
