"few good things north of the strip"
theres few places of interest north of the strip. immediately after s. las vegas blvd turns into n. las vegas blvd you see one of the first notable land marks, vas vegas city hall. further up the street at e. washington ave & n. las vegas blvd there are 2 parks the fantasy park and lions memorial park. probably the most notable site on n. las vegas blvd is the las vegas motor speedway where they hold nascar events.

"Visit the Old Las Vegas"
The pedestrained area is quite small compared to the other streets in the city - there are some old style casinos you would see in this area that look pale in comparison to the ones in the newer part of the city. While you are there, do not forget to see the famous huge nugget of gold at jerry's! Food is excellent here.
