I've lived in several areas of Lakeview, so I have a pretty good idea of the neighborhood as a whole. I prefer living in the western part of Lakeview, which puts you close enough to walk to Cubs games without dealing with the craziness of it all. Lakeview is safe and has lots to do, plus you can hop on a train and go just about anywhere. There are families, singles, couples, and students, making it a pretty diverse area too.

I think it'd be great to live there. Because of Wrigley Field it's pretty safe, and while I think it could get annoying during and after games because of drunk people wandering around, it's still patrolled by police more often than most neighborhoods. there's a large gay community, which I think makes for a fun atmosphere, and I've had girlfriends who like the area because of that. There are certainly worse places to live.
