Hardy St, Hattiesburg

Hardy street itself is an old street, in poor medium to poor condition, with numerous potholes, bumps and repairs and patches all the way from downtown to Hwy. 49. The stretch from Hwy. 49 to I-59 was recently paved (2008), and the continuation, otherwise known as Hwy. 98 is in good condition but is now part of this review. There are numerous health care options, restaurants, cafes, grocers, gas stations, and many types of businesses on Hardy St. as well as U.S.M. and the lovely downtown library.

Homes and apartments are varied and so are eating, drinking and shopping establishments. There are numerous neighborhoods throughout the as well as various architectural styles.

There aren't nearly enough sidewalks or bike lanes in the area.
