"Connector Street in a Residential Area"
Mountain View, while affluent and home to the powerhouse that we all know as Google, is still a more modest, welcome break from some of more affluent neighboring Silicon Valley towns (Saratoga, Menlo Park, and Palo Alto, to name a few). Grant Road serves to connect many of the suburban streets, and runs almost to the foothills (the more affluent part of Mountain View). While traffic in the Valley is often brutal, Grant Road is a relatively mellow alternative to some of the more heavily traveled routes.
The street is tree-lined, the homes are quite lovely, and while real estate is sky-high all over the Bay Area, Mountain View somehow flies a *bit* under the radar comparatively to other towns in the area. There is a relatively consistent public bus running along this street as well.
