"Well, there is parking close by."

Gold Street leads down into the manufacturing plants by the waterfront. The other end of gold is just a thoroughfare taking you down to the manufacturing plants, but there is a lot of parking along Gold Street if you need it. Of course, since this is Brooklyn, you will always have anything you want within blocks.
