"Close to Portgage Bay. Amazing Views."
Fuhrman Avenue East appears to be a quiet and residential street to the passerby. It has a secret though. The houses that line the west side of the street have a great advantage when it comes to living in Seattle. When you reach the backyard and hop the fence you get amazing views of Portage Bay. This street is pretty close to my house and I have a couple friends that live on Fuhrman. The docks of the bay are filled with houseboats, which I find absolutely amazing. They are little communities on water. Every year come spring or sometimes early summer the residents on Fuhrman and Portage Bay Pi throw a "street/neighborhood" barbecue. Portage Bay Pi is a very small side street right behind Fuhrman. The street is used for road access for the residents in the houseboats. Fuhrman is also a great street for jogging. You can't find a better family oriented street in all of Seattle.

"Fuhrman , portage, and views"
As a frequent visitor to Seattle, and as a geocacher, I have found neat little places all over the city. Fuhrman avenue is no exception. The street runs along the western bank of Portage Bay and ends near the major highway interstate 5. At this juncture there is a very cool little "park", again I am ageocacher, South Passage Point Park. Really just a point with boats moored there, it is simply interesting due to the geographic nature and views to be seen.
