"East Monroe Street"
East Monroe Street has had a recent makeover. A few economic houses were built there and better looking and accessible sidewalks were built. The Street was also cleaned and paved. This makeover really improved the living quality of Monroe St. because it used to be a rough neighborhood part of the Van Buren red light district.

"Vibrant and filled with activity"
The street is covered densely with local houses and small businesses. The people here are very helpful and cheerful. One of the establishments on E Monroe street, hosts a center for performing arts while in some there are small offices, stores and theaters. There is a restaurant called Mercy’s Mexican food. It is one place which both, its service and food is absolutely delightful.

"Downtown street with nice theater"
Monroe runs east to west through the down town section of Phoenix. It is a very nice street with the Herberger theater on it and it borders the northern end of Heritage state park which is a nice place to take your kids with a little science museum and some historical building sites.
