"Recent developments provide a lot to do."

With the recent developments being made to this area, there is a lot more becoming available for visitors and residents to do. For example you have the MacArthur Center Mall as well as a lot of restaurants and small businesses. It isn’t a heavily traveled area at nighttime so it is safe for pedestrians to walk from place to place.

"Great area for dinning and walking"

When I was younger downtown Norfolk was not the best part of town/ But with the MacArthur Center and the tons of resturants opening it has become a great place to live and work. The traffic on City Hall Ave could make you want to pull your hair out, but the area is very easy to navigate on foot. I personally enjoy walking downtown verse driving.

"Easy access to MacArthur Center Mall"

I like City Hall Avenue mainly because it gives you quick, easy access to the MacArthur Mall. From I-264, you can sweep down the ramp, go through one light, and the entrance to the parking deck is there immediately on the right. City Hall Avenue is a great walk at night because it is well lit and is not heavily travelled. Its downfall is there the fact that you can not park on the street. If you miss the entrance, you have to circle the block to come back to it again. It also gives you a great view of the skyline from the northeast. Like E Main St., it's great to walk during Christmastime, seeing all the high-rises and towers lined with Christmas lights.
