"Within city limits, but more like living in Lee's Summit"

Located just north of Truman Medical Center-Lakewood, this is a new subdivision. It is located within the city limits of Kansas City, but is in the Lee's Summit School District. Because of that, there are a LOT of city employees, police officers, firefighters, etc. There is a neighborhood pool that opened in the Fall of 2007. There are neighborhood garage sales in the spring, and a few other little events. Also, being a new neighborhood, there are not a lot of big trees which can be bad (no shade) or good (nothing to rake in the fall). The roads are pretty quick to be plowed in the winter.

The local utilities seem fine, sports and rec are very popular, libraries are great.

It is at the crossroads of Lee's Summit Rd and Little Blue. Very easy access to Noland Rd, 470 HWY, Lakewood. Very close to the Summit Wood Shopping Center which has department stores, hardware, bookstore, restaurants, all the usual suspects for suburban shopping. Also very close to grocery stores, gas stations, dry cleaners, Costco and the future home of Bass Pro, Independence Center, a couple of movie theaters. There are several health clubs as well as a family yoga studio.

There is easy access to medical care, dentists, all manner of doctor that you may need including veterinary care.

Lots of children, pets, mixed ethnicities. Overall a very family oriented area.

There are train tracks about a mile away that you can hear, but you get used to it quickly.
