East 12th St, Fashion District

The BEST thing about 12th street is on a stretch between Maple and Santee st. It's called Santee Alley, and it reminds me of the song "Portabello Road" in Bedknobs and Broomsticks- the street where anything and everything is sold. Here you'll find cheap designer knock offs, sample sales, specialty stores, beauty stores with high end cosmetics, perfumeries, and even a few hot dog stands. There is also a dog store that specializes in accessories for extra small pooches, which is a great thing! I go here every year when I see something I like at the mall. Nine times out of ten, a store will have it here, for much cheaper! Just make sure you hold on to your wallet, as there can be pickpockets.
