"Last part of WG not yet overrun by McMansions"

One of the last remaining parts of WG that hasn't been completely rebuilt by real estate developers. Many of the homes are the original bungalows (with a fair share of rebuilds). Deep lots with big backyards. Plenty of room to add-on. Neighbors are friendly, with a mix of mostly retirees and young families. 15 minute walk to downtown WG (Lincoln Ave). Close to the Whole Foods on Alameda and downtown San Jose. Great access to hwy 280 and 87. Only real downsides: There's a spiritual center at the end of the street which makes street parking tough on Sunday mornings, and brings a lot of speeding Priuses (Prii).
Pros
  • Great soil, if you're into gardening
Cons
  • Liquor store at corner of Willow

"close to downtown and cal trains"

this was a pretty nice street when i lived here. almost bordering on the ghetto in some spots, but some surrounding areas were real nice. close to downtown and willow glen. cal trains station is only a few blocks away. also fairly close to the rose gardens and the rosicrucian museum.
