There's a cool little cocktail bar in Chinatown called Apotheke. And, there are two great, divey kinds of bars called Winnie's and Whiskey Tavern. There's a bar / restaurant with a cool vibe called Les Enfants Terribles and that's right on the border of Chinatown and LES (at Canal).
