Chocolate Bar at the Peninsula

This is a pricey treat. It is a wonderful way to slip into a chocolate coma.

It is $39 per person which includes the buffet, coffee, tea, and espresso additional things can be purchased at an added cost.

The Peninsula is the the place to stay for wealthier visitors to Chicago so it can be pretty fun to do some people watching there.

The chocolate is heavenly. There were about 30 items some are traditional and others more adventurous... it is however fantastic.

here is a partial list of things served:

Chocolate Mousse

Double Chocolate Pound Cake

2 kinds of homemade marshmallow - one traditional, one covered with a cinnamon/nutmeg mixture

Truffles

White Chocolate, Caramel and Pear Tart with Chantilly

Pistachio Mousse layered with Dark Chocolate and a White Chocolate Cinnamon Mousse

Milk and Dark Chocolate Covered Raisins
