Most of the houses on our street have beautifully wooded lots, either front, back or both. Neighbors take great pride in their properties too. Oak trees are home to many birds and squirrels. Our home backs up to a heavily wooded ravine that seasonally serves as a creek and is home to deer and raccoons. We love our piece of the country right in the city. Major shopping centers, entertainment venues, huge variety of restaurants ranging from fast food to great steakhouses are all located from one-half mile to 2 1/2 miles. The San Antonio International Airport is only 6 miles away. Downtown and the picturesque Riverwalk is 15 to 20 minutes drive. We have a great number and variety of churches in our area. The largest of nearby parks is about five miles away and has hike and bike trails, age appropriate playgrounds, soccor fields, picnic areas and pavillions and is almost 450 acres. There are smaller pocket parks closer. A new job will be taking us away and we will greatly miss our wonderful home.
