On W Linwood, you are in the middle of everything. You are close to both downtown Kansas City and to the Plaza, an upper scale shopping district, Westport where many local bars and trendy shops can be found. You're not far from KU Med, Penn Valley Community College, 39th & Bell shops and restaurants and the Boulevard where you can find all kinds of great authentic Mexican food. Don't forget the Nelson Atkins Art Museum and the Kansas City Art Institute.

The area is interesting as there is always lots of traffic - both by vehicles and foot. Crime is moderate I guess. My vehicle was broken into once in the 2 years I lived in the area. Insurance rates are high. Overall, I miss the area but it was not a good part of town to raise my young daughter.
