"Quiet street, close to everything"
39th Street is a very affordable place to live as well as being incredibly close to all different kinds of shops and places to eat. Safe because it is right next to a police station, great for families because it is right next to schools, and very inexpensive for the size of the housing.

"Nice but noisy"
The closest cross street is Rowan. There's an elementary school down the block which creates quite a bit of traffic in the mornings and afternoons. Parents dropping off or picking up their kids don't quite stop at the stop sign so you get trapped in your driveway because there are so many cars going by. The only thing you can do is to just pull out and force them to stop. There are also many large delivery trucks going down this street, probably to deliver stuff to the school. Although most of 39th st is really quiet and nice, the short block I live on is quite noisy because of the traffic. It's up on a hill so you get a really nice breeze in the summer. Most of the back yards have really nice unobstructed views. There's the usual barking dogs and loud music but I guess you get that wherever you go. In the summer when school is out, the neighborhood is relatively peaceful.
There's a drug clinic and a recycling place on Home Ave and sometimes some scary looking people walk through the neighborhood looking for something to recycle or steal, but it's the exception more than the rule. There's a really good Mexican restaurant a couple of blocks away. Also, access to Highways 15, 94 and 805 is only a couple of blocks away which is very convenient. There's always lots of people walking their dogs or jogging around here. Most folks are friendly and there's a church on the next block. Most of the homes were built around the 1950's and for the most part they are well maintained.
