31st Ave South, Columbia City

31st Ave. South is a short stretch of road off of Military Rd. S. with fewer than usual homes along the way. There are some trees, though not as many as possible or even usual for the area. The homes are nice single-family homes as well as a nursery with several plots of trees and bushes. Traffic is minimal, consisting of residents, visitors and people who get lost. The road dead-ends just north of S. 146th St. so it's not a thoroughfare or shortcut for anyone. The nice part about this area is the quiet neighbors, reduced traffic and out-of-the-way solitude. However, the drawback is the proximity of SeaTac airport, disrupting the peacefulness with periodic air traffic. The area is relatively safe and home prices are on the reasonable side. Overall, a nice place to live if you don't mind the airport noise.
