"Gay Friendly, Great Food, and Pretty Shops"

This is a very fun street, with great bars, restaurants, and shops. People are very friendly, and you are right near Dupont and Columbia Heights, so lots to see and do within blocks. 17th St. is best to visit on the mornings of the weekends, just walk around and you'll get a great sense of the vibe of this place. Pricey to live in, but great to visit.
